ABOUT ADAGIO
ADAGIO IN THE MAKING
The Adagio has been a long-working idea in progress, and the entire team is grateful that the magazine has even come this far. The idea started because the founder, Rachel Oh, has been involved and interested in the arts at a young age with piano and writing, and she wanted to make a space honoring the arts that also allowed others to enjoy various kinds of works. The literary magazine’s name was also curated by Rachel and relates to her ties with the art of music; she wanted to pay homage to her 13 years tied to the instrument by titling the magazine with a musical term. Therefore, The Adagio was born, as the term “adagio” is a tempo setting that indicates to play slowly, and Rachel wished for the space to become a place where those who visited would become so entranced & engaged with the platform that it would feel as though time was slowing down for the arts
